Roy Halladay is totally gonna be a Red!
Well, he doesn't want to re-sign with the Blue Jays anyway. That means he'll be a free agent after this season, and it also means the Jays might be willing to deal him around the trade deadline. Would you like a Roy Halladay?

Sure, I'd love a Roy Halladay, but
Say the Jays trade him to us. That means we’ll have to give up something to get him, since that’s usually how trades work.
I’m good up to that point.
Where it gets fuzzy for me is what we’d have to give up to get him, and then would he end up being a rental, or would he actually re-sign with the Reds?
So, what would we have to give up to get him?
he has a no trade clause
he will probably only accept a deal with an extension.

Maybe Jo-eh
wants to go home.
All Things Bubba: Because how can you not love a baseball player named Bubba?
Only if you're willing to go with him...or so the gossip mags say.
I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

So Jo-eh and who gets us Halladay?
I love Votto as much as the next guy, but Halladay for Votto is a no-brainer in my opinion.
It all depends on what else it would take.

Halladay agreeing to be traded to Cincinnati
If Halladay is traded it will be like the Santana trade, the Jays hands will be tied because there are only a certain number of teams Halladay will be willing to go to, and those teams know that so they can drive down the cost of Halladay, and Halladay will probably only allow a trade if he gets a lucrative extension. In essence Halladay is looking for free agency a year early. That again will further drive down his value.
