2009 MLB LCS: Day 6

For some stupid reason there is only one game today.  There is no reason for non-travel off days during the playoffs.  This is what the NBA does.  Stupid.

W-L ERA WHIP K BB
2009 - CC Sabathia 19-8 3.37 1.15 197 67

W-L ERA WHIP K BB
2009 - Scott Kazmir 2-2 1.73 1.05 26 10

I'd really like to see this series go 2-2, but that's probably because I am rooting against the Yankees.  Honestly though, I'm hardly watching these games, and it's mainly because of the announcers.  For some reason, I just can't bring myself to tolerate these announcers this year.  Plus, I don't care for the teams that much either.

So is anybody watching this?

Let me write out a formal proof for you.

I'm trying

but I loathe Joe Buck, Tim McCarver, and that excessive crowd noise that Fox insists on piping in on the audio. So, I flip it on for a few seconds and then turn it before I get annoyed.

Definitely a good argument.

Yeah...

plus, this is kind of a boring game.

terrible officiating

Swish was picked off. Ump blew the call.

Now he’s called out for leaving too early. Make up call?

Yeah, but when has that ever happened?

If the Yankees have the lead in the 9th, we’ll know they have it won!

It's never too late!

Field of dreams — StubHub offers Mets playoff tix

NEW YORK – Hey, Mets fans, that awful season was just a bad dream — if you believe StubHub.

The company sent an e-mail Monday offering tickets for Mets’ playoff games.

“Be there alongside your New York Mets as they chase baseball immortality,” the e-mail said. “Go to StubHub, where you’ll find a fantastic selection of tickets to every playoff game — so you experience the championship chase live and in person.”

…The Mets finished 70-92 and were out playoff contention by mid-July.

Ferrer said similar e-mails also were sent to Cubs fans. She was not sure of the identity of other teams whose supporters received e-mails.

There's an app for that

Want dating advice? You can ask Ochocinco

CINCINNATI – Chad Ochocinco has a new iPhone application that was created with the help of Bengals quarterback Jordan Palmer and breaks new ground for the media-savvy receiver. It also puts him one-up on buddy Terrell Owens — for a few weeks, anyway.

For $4.99, Ochocinco fans can follow his daily exploits in photos, videos and tweets. They can ask his advice on dating or anything else, send their own photos for posting, and track where he is each day when he’s on the road.

All Ochocinco, all the time.

Does anyone besides the beautiful and talented BubbaFan even care about the AL playoffs?

I can barely sustain interest in the NL side of things let alone the another round of the NY Yankees…
I liked it better when there were only 16 teams.

Like in 1959:

Chicago White Sox
Cleveland Indians
New York Yankees
Detroit Tigers
Boston Red Sox
Baltimore Orioles
Kansas City Athletics
Washington Senators

Los Angeles Dodgers
Milwaukee Braves
San Francisco Giants
Pittsburgh Pirates
Chicago Cubs
Cincinnati Reds
St. Louis Cardinals
Philadelphia Phillies

those were the days eh Caleb…ol pete…guys?

But Bud has declared victory and the Wild Card is wildly popular. Also, Joe Buck says so. So it must be true.
