Yeah
Smallest crowd for a United game in nine years. They announced about 3,000 but I’d be surprised if there were more than 500. That’s what you get on a Wednesday night for a somewhat lightly regarded tournament, immediately following a loss in a must-win game to a team that had not won on the road in over a year.
But hey, awesome seats!

Are there any plans to tie the winner into UEFA or CONMEBOL somehow? I hope so, cuz I don’t see how playing Central American club teams is ever going to generate a whole hell of a lot of excitement.

They're already tied in, sorta.
The winner of the CCL plays in the FIFA Club World Cup, which takes the winner of the leagues from the respective Champions Leagues in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, Oceania, and a host country (in 2010’s case, the United Arab Emirates). Manchester United won it last year, and it’s basically a tournament to see who gets to lose to the winner of the UEFA CL.
