Around SBN: 2011 In Extreme Home Runs

Duncan, who said the umpires told him the baseballs indeed were rubbed up, said Arroyo was able to deal with the issue because "I'm sure he had pine tar on his cap. He didn't have any problem getting a grip. Balls like that can generate a lot more movement than a slick ball that hasn't been rubbed up."

Asked if he had seen Arroyo go to his cap, Duncan said, "Just every pitch."

Is it me, or did the Cards' pen come in and have no issues with the balls? Maybe the problem was all Smoltz.....

even more important...

what does this mean for Duncan’s prospects of coming to Cincy next year?

Duncan a true Cardinal

When referring to cheating, he calls it “gamesmanship.” LaRussa likes players who use steroids. Pujols sees nothing wrong with sliding out of the basepath to take out a player, cleats up. Yet other teams aren’t supposed to even pitch inside to the holy one.

And crying about stealing a base? Its friggin exhibition baseball and it was the friggin 3rd inning. What a massive [expletive].

I like it.

I often prefer the filthy expressions that my mind can concoct to what others use. For instance, I think he meant "What a massive [participant in the ritualistic face smearing of TLR’s runny hangover feces while Pujols jams his anus repeatedly with a broken fungo bat.] See, wasn’t that fun?

Wear something sexy to my funeral.

Ah yes the old Fungo Fuck

Another great baseball tradition that has fallen by the wayside along with the spitball, sharpening of cleats and urinating on the oppositions baseballs…those were the days when men played the game.
