RR Beer League NFL Fantasy Results
Well, it's been a season all right. Sorry it has been over for a week and I haven't posted the results, but I am still a bit bitter. I nearly went wire to wire during the regular season, only giving up my lead after the last game to Ash and her two ties.(and points).
The post season was brutal on the top three with us all loosing in the first round of the playoffs. Ash and I then went on to loose the second round in the playoffs and ended up 7th and 8th overall and Caleb (3rd regular season) taking 5th.
Jacob Brumfield pulled of a couple of upsets and took the overall win! TN RiverRails and Smack of Ham taking 2nd and 3rd.
Congrats to the winners and better luck next year to us loosers. The complete standings after the jump..

Thanks for playing this year!

i think 6th place suits me pretty well
after losing Tom Brady it was a scramble, but my savvy Chris Johnson pickup was enough to solidify respectable mediocrity. great season everyone and i’ll see you in Honolulu!!

Well, congrats anyway.
See it pays not to play. :) Actually mid-season you only were playing half of the players, but after the byes, everyone came back healthy and had a great conclusion. I think I shuffled my lineup with two or three people every week.
On a little happier note, I did finish 11-3 and 2nd in the playoffs in my other league. The next best team to me in that one was 9 – 5. Kurt Warner really let me down during the playoffs.

You won without making a single move. Walt Jocketty likes your style.

You daaaaaaaaamn right.
And not that anyone here gives a shit but I won my other league, to the tune of $600. I may retire at this point.

Anybody else watch VH1's "100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs"?
I learned that the singer from Survivor (“Eye of the Tiger”) also sang on the Real Men of Genius ads. And now he teaches music to daycare students. That guy rules!

yes i did watch the entire countdown
sometimes I think they have a loose interpretation of the term “hard rock”
And as is always the case with those countdowns, it was pretty much bullshit

We had the DVR set to record any new episodes and I don’t think a particular channel was selected.. Wonder if it recorded..

IT was a strong return last night...
1st episode was as funny as the big bang theory and the second episode made me cry

yep
it was funny without trying to be wacky. That’s the problem they’ve had over the last couple of years. I like the new characters too. And that second episode really showed the heart of the show. And it was funny too.

Feeling a little better.
I just took College Bowl Pick-em, even before the last game. I feel like an office Betty picking NCAA BB brackets. I had no idea who I was picking, just going from school mascots.. Kidding, but I did only pick off of rankings and what Yahoo said was the pick a month ago. The only real decision I made was changing my game tonight from BG to Tulsa. That was the clincher.
