Jocketty Excited by New Hire for GM's Office
"We're excited to bring someone of his knowledge into our organization," Jocketty said. "Over his career of more than 30 years, he has worked in almost every facet of professional operations, as a player, as a league officer and even as a member of the media. We will benefit from his experience and insights."
This hire might strike a few of you as strange, but you can't argue with the wealth of the man's experience. I think he understands the direction the Reds want to take and is emblematic of their current thinking with regard personnel.
Seems to me like a good fit.

Matt Millen = Bill Bavasi
but in all fairness to Bavasi, he never messed up 1st round picks quite like Millen. Bavasi never cared enough about the draft to mess it up.

I feel like Holly shouldn’t have been included since she is a new character and is only going to be there a couple of episodes. So I give Ryan Howard my number 9 spot, too. Also, I’m glad we didn’t include Toby, because he is the worst.

The Angela/Andy/Dwight love triangle is awesome, and the “new and improved” Ryan character is freaking hilarious. The Jim/Pam engagement won’t last the entire season, you heard it here first. Holly is okay, but unproven and probably won’t last, as much as I’d like her to. Any chance they bring Rashida Jones back as Karen’s identical twin?

Phyllis also exists to show what Michael is trying to distance himself from
Phyllis is the same age as Michael, and I believe went to the same high school. But she is fat and ugly and in sales, while Michael sees himself as striving for a glamorous, attractive life in management. Don’t be mistaken, he loves the people of Scranton, but when they show him a side he is uncomfortable with, he thinks himself above them. Yet it is Phyllis who is happily married and has risen up to be head of the Party Planning Committee. So which of them has the better lot in life?
