Nothing against Harang, but I wish the Reds would just stop pitching him this season.
Nothing against Hernandez, but I hope the Rockies pitch him every game this series.

The Wire..and why it is such a great show
quite possibly the 2nd best drama of all time behind the Sopranos
www.crosleyfieldterrace.wordpress.com
I only saw the first season
and gave up about half way through the 2nd. It was good and maybe someday I’ll go back and watch it
www.crosleyfieldterrace.wordpress.com
I just got season 1 of the Wire
I watched the first episode, and left kind of unimpressed. I’m willing to give it an extended try though. An acquired taste?

I'm working my way through season 2 of The Office

Season 1 it was just your run of the mill crime show
albeit a very well done one. Season 2 meandered a little bit. It took the bold step of changing much of the focus and characters.
Seasons 3 and 4 were some of the best television ever.
Great, great show.

Channel/time? Any good?
I’ve heard of it, and the potential of a reality show based on marketing people intrigues me.
How can such a good looking man be so bad at getting to first base?
Not reality, it's a drama
It’s on AMC at 10 on Sundays. Season two is three eps underway. It’s Madison Avenue execs in 1960 (1961 now actually).
Ah
I’ve only half-watched the promos here and there. I’ll have to resort to the “any good?” portion of my comment.
How can such a good looking man be so bad at getting to first base?
it's really good
Much of the entertainment value lies in the anachronisms of an incredibly chauvinistic office where the men drink scotch and harass their secretaries all day. But it’s got really good attention to historical detail as the white male masters-of-the-universe characters’ world is gradually overturned by social change.
I'll check it out
Sounds like fun.

Let's see
His wife had had a long, difficult birth of their daughter. Saget had been with her for the whole ordeal. It was a beautiful moment. A friend of his stopped by the hospital to see him, and he was there with his brand new daughter. As his friend held her, he turned to Saget and said, “Wow. She’s beautiful, man.” And without missing a beat, Saget said, “I’ll let you finger her for a dollar.”

How can such a good looking man be so bad at getting to first base?
He's not pitching with his normal delivery
which means he’s altering his mechanics, which might mean he’s putting stress on body parts he normally wouldn’t.
I don’t like it.
And, Madville, he can’t throw his great fastball up in the zone. He tried it once in that inning and Holliday took it 10 feet right of a granny. His velocity seems all right, but he’s not locating.

That inning something certainly went arwy MM. But I think his mechanics look pretty good.
Clownboy has been showing him in slo mo and Aaron looks balanced and is driving his pitches ,for the most part down in the zone. The last part of the bases loaded inning he reached back and plain threw the ball past the hitters. I think he is OK. I guess we’ll see how he feels tomorrow and how his next outing turns out.

Dusty Baker
he's looked better
since loading the bases.
What worries me, for instance, is that you can see him exaggerating his arm angle to keep the ball down in the zone, which indicates he doesn’t trust his 2 seam fastball to dive. If it’s just a psychological tic rather than a physical one I guess you let him pitch through it. I guess.
