Holy crap

pancreatic cancer is some bad shit

He probably ignored the symptoms for a long time, but it likely didn’t matter. Pancreatic cancer is pretty much a death sentence.

This is a pitching matchup you just gotta like for the Reds.

There’s no way they catch the Nationals.

sorry, I meant 3rd. But then, that’s only if they catch the Padres. Right now they’d be 7th or 9th, I think.

Okay, I'm a big time idiot

I thought the draft alternated AL-NL, but it doesn’t. Right now the Reds would be 6th or 7th.

I've never sat through the entire TV pre-game show before.

Brother where art thou…why do they waste all with that time on useless bullshit. Especially horrid was the segment with Jacoby talking about leadoff hitters. “They’ve got to be able to bunt and steal bases, A leadoff hitter ignites the offense.” I wish Brook had shared that little nugget of wisdom withe Dustbrain…maybe just maybe…CoFlat wouldn’t have led off for half of the season. What's it all about Alifi?

 Friday, April 20, 2007
Sudanese Man Forced To Marry Goat…
…after having intimate relations with it.
A Sudanese man has been forced to take a goat as his "wife", after he was caught having sex with the animal.
The goat’s owner, Mr Alifi, said he surprised the man with his goat and took him to a council of elders.
They ordered the man, Mr Tombe, to pay a dowry of 15,000 Sudanese dinars ($50) to Mr Alifi.
"We have given him the goat, and as far as we know they are still together," Mr Alifi said.

Well, good luck to the happy couple…I guess.

RECORD WATCH

Javier Valentin just ended the game with an out for a league leading 17th time this season. I believe this breaks the Reds record (going back to 1956, when this data is available) of 16 set by Tommy Helms in 1970. The NL record is 18 (again, back to 1956), held by both George Foster (1983) and Jerry Martin (1980). The MLB record in 19 by Ed Charles in 1964.

FWIW, Javier does not hold the Valentin family record as his brother Jose had 18 such events in 1996 for the Brewers.
