FISTS !

You can tell your uncle stuff that you could not tell your dad. That is kind of the role of an uncle. I feel very much like a father sometimes but sometimes I feel like a teammate.

my personal preference is for Lux,

I found that Palmolive had a nice, piquant after-dinner flavor – heavy, but with a touch of mellow smoothness. Life Buoy, on the other hand… YECCHH!

Um... This is a quite depressing tidbit from Mark Sheldon's mailbag
The Reds will have money to spend if they want to raise their payroll. In terms of 2009, the combined $25 million for Griffey and Dunn will be off the books, but it doesn’t mean the payroll is shrinking or there is an influx of fresh cash to spend. Closer Francisco Cordero will go from $8.5 million to $12 million. Aaron Harang goes from $6.75 to $11 million. Alex Gonzalez goes from $4.6 to $5.375 million. Bronson Arroyo moves from nearly $6.5 to $9.5 million. Brandon Phillips increases from $2.75 to $4.75 million and Ryan Freel ups from $3 to $4 million.

That’s six players that will make a combined $46.625 million

Regardless we're fucked with these retarded contracts

But hey, look at the positives! Harang’s 3-13 season this year is only 2.25 million per win, next year it would be almost 4 million a win!

I figured it was something like that when he asked to keep it private. Condolences to the Vottos.

yeah he could not have been that old

the article does not say anything, most likely at Joey’s request, but it does say it was “sudden”. and he has to get back to work after only a week. i dont know if i could do that.

Wow

Joe Votto was only 52 years old.

His obituary is online here. (You can post a condolence message for his family.)

The family is asking for donations to Renascent in lieu of flowers. (I think that’s a charity that helps people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction.)

The Reds may set a record for strike outs tonight

It’s very clear the coaches don’t read scouting reports and don’t bother telling the players anything about pitchers they’re facing for the first time.

and did a good job at closing towards the ball, but when the ball hits the heel of your glove, you need to fucking catch it.

I wasn't able to get my computer turned on fast enough to comment

after Corey hacked at the first pitch to end the last inning.

Then he throw his body at the ball instead of catching the damn thing, and Bob Brenly blames Bruce after Corey’s “nice effort.”

I’m so sick of this Patterson shit.
