It's Faith Day at the ballpark, brought to you by the Creation Museum.  I have no comments on that, but I often wonder if there is an intelligent design behind the Reds.

The season is starting to get tense.  I don't know if my nerves can handle this chase for the end of the season.

Creation Museum/Faith Day

this is even more hokey than the new age funeral I attended on Friday.
With this kind of a promo it really is no wondering why the Red’s are so far out of it. They’ve a management that is faith based and a field manager who’s hearing impaired.

What’s up CC – Verka ?

I will not be drinking today so no worries guys, we’ll have a regular old RR thread.

The Reds teaming up with heavy Christianity puts me in a funny position as a Reds fan. I’m not a Christian. I would feel very, very, awkward at the game today. It’s not mocking what I don’t know/understand, its just that I wouldn’t like being treated as an outsider at a baseball game.

It’s not as if they’re denying admission to non-Christians. Would you feel like an outsider at Little Leaguer day?

Anyway, my original post was silly. I sort of have a scorched earth policy as I can’t really think of anything that actually offends me personally. I have certainly been upset and angered on behalf of people I care about, but not really for myself. There might be something, but I can’t think of anything at the moment.

Just a passing moment of empathy for people like Thundering Turtle, Caleb and Crolfer. But they’re big boys and don’t need any old henning from the likes of me.

Reds sign Yorman Rodriguez:

International scouts contacted by BA indicated they believed the bonus was for $2.7 million, although the official number has not been confirmed. That bonus would be the largest signing bonus ever given to a player from Venezuela.

Rodriguez, who just turned 16 this month, is a four-tool player who draws praise from scouts for his athleticism, speed, power and arm strength. Scouts say his hit tool lags behind his other abilities–a significant concern for several scouts–but his athleticism and ceiling are both high.

Ha. Your TV guys were just joking about “five-tool” prospects who forgot to pack their hit tool.
