Although the Nats have the worst BP in the major's
it is still gratifying get a ‘last at bat’ win. Kent murker thinks that the Reds just need to play together and jell, that for the most part they have a competitive team. Although I’m sure that he was being politically careful, he really sounded as though he thought this team is going to be competitive in the 2nd half. I tend to agree w/him. Despite Dusky, Bako and no bench..here’s to an improved 2nd half record.

"Was it for the Reds organization or all of baseball?" Bruce said.

Mesoraco was robbed of a two run homerun last night.
the right fielder made a full extention perfectly timed catch, and the runner on first was trotting around the bases like it was a homerun, and was past second, before he realized he needed to get back, so it turned into an inning ending double play.
