Pitch count stats are a bit wonky historically

but since 2000, Aaron Cook threw 74 pitches last year in a 9 inning CG. Carlos Silva did the same in 2005.

It’s an ambidextrous pitcher vs. a switch-hitter. They spent several minutes switching sides. Every time the hitter went to the other side of the plate, the pitcher would switch arms. And the hitter would move to the other side of the plate.
