I remember either Glavine or Maddox throwing one on 76 pitches

Pitch count stats are a bit wonky historically
but since 2000, Aaron Cook threw 74 pitches last year in a 9 inning CG. Carlos Silva did the same in 2005.

I was looking at the Yanks’ outfield. Damon in left, Cabrera is in center, so Matsui’s in right, right? Nope. Abreu. Wait, I though Matsui was playing. Did he get switched out? Hurt? No. He’s the DH. God that’s weird.
Matsui is the regular DH this year
He only plays LF when they’re resting Cabrera or Damon.
