Game 58: The part after the 2nd part
Going to the bottom of the 8th with the Reds trailing by one. If Weathers can keep it that way, the Reds have the unclutch portion of the lineup coming up: Dunn, EdE, Votto.

Anyone on mlb.tv...
notice that they’ve inserted ads each time you switch feeds?
Glad to see I’ll have to start up my daily onslaught of e-mail to their customer service department. I encourage everyone else to do the same.
runner on vs. weathers
this game is now official
Some muthafucka’s always trying to ice-skate uphill
I'm not digging the ads
I prefer silence to the same 5 commercials telling me to use MLBShop. It gets a bit repetitive, and I don’t trust Brandon Philips with that car-salesman smile.

What the hell is Welsh talking about?
Why would the Phillies save Lidge? It’s a freaking one-run game?

Time to make Lidge doubt his skills again.

Can Dunn wear a Pujols mask to the plate?

Remember how Lidge got his first save of the year against the Reds . . .
on a Castro strikeout! Not this time, motherfucker!

I believe it was our esteemed colleage Alan who said...

I got the quote essentially right
but it was Charlie Scrabbles, not Alan.
This will be the first and last time that Charlie Scrabbles is confused for Alan.

that is about all you can do
tip your cap and come back tomorrow. They really need to at least split in Philly though

smash up the middle in his first AB, I think.
Rollins was playing him there and threw him out. After that, it was two line outs to Utley and I think a well hit ball to center, right?
good game
it felt like the kind of game that the Reds would have allowed to get out of hand earlier in the season.
Standing clap for the Reds!

You mean, like last week?

For those that are interested
Karl Ravech just said that they may be talking to Jay Bruce on BBTN tonight. The show is on right now.

He was just on
Not a whole lot that you wouldn’t expect. Loves his mom. Is a good hitter. Has been saving a nickel a day since he was 5 so that he can take a trip to Disney World. Pretty much the norm with kids his age.

just got in from dayton
it was a 10-6 win for the West Michigan Whitecaps of the Detroit Tigers. Merasccococoiroe (catching prospect) went 1-5 with a homerun. His defense didn’t look that great, he gunned down two runners, but one was a blown call on a pitch out. The starting pitcher Patrich had decent volocity generraly working from 88-92, and he could hit 95 from time to time, but he dind’t surivie the 5th, and doesn’t seem to pocess much beyond velocity. Krebs a left handed reliver looked interesting. in 26.2 innings he has an ERA of 1.69 and 22 K’s in 26.2 innings. He was roughed up a little tonight, he pitched well in his first inning of work, but his second and third innings of work were real rough. He topped out around 87, but had an offspead pitch that seemed to baffle a few hitters. Fifth Third Field South is a nice place to watch a game, but it is more enertainment than baseball oriented. They list no pitchers stats on the scoreboard, they don’t list the lineups, and the only offensive stats that are listed are AVG, HR, and RBI. They don’t even tell you if a pitch is a wild pitch or passed ball. But the female dragon grabbed the homeplate umpires ass, so that was cool i guess. Oh and they made baby’s drink lemon juice.
