But I think you could make the case that he’s in the next tier of guys with Bobby Grich and Charlie Gehringer. Alomar’s defense probably puts him in this tier, too.

He's been awful this year
He was actually above average for a couple of years, after A-Rod joined the team. But his defense has fallen off a cliff this season. He’s worse than ever.
