I think Harang is putting his arm around Homer's shoulder right now
run support’s a bitch, aint it, kid?
...because there's already someone posing as Jacob Brumfield
I see the point
but this guy is starting to falter. It might have been a good time to try and jump on him hard
Hope Springs Eternal! Go Reds
There's a lot of game still to play
Right now, I’m fine with not burning Lincoln after one hitter.

he's trying to avoid another A Whale's Vagina fiasco
its not necessary, but he’s incompetent.
Actually, I don’t mind.

Linc's the long man, thoguh
so my guess is they should’ve just pushed Bailey to get that last out. Or brought in someone like Burton or weathers who pitched last night.
...because there's already someone posing as Jacob Brumfield
Lincoln's not the long man
I’m deathly terrified whenever he goes more than one inning.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I just got it!

It is hard to not like Pujols...
although the Cardinal insignia helps.
He's the realest to run it
He just happens to rap.

we need to keep the HOVA meme flowing
right now its all we got showing

it isn’t the seven straight losing seasons. It is the way they lose each season. And the lack of effort by the Reds management at times.
Chris was right that we fans, society in general, are too into instant gratification
Hope Springs Eternal! Go Reds
Bruce is within a hit of being over .400 again
So, there’s that.

I still feel like the Reds will win this one
and get Homer off the hook
Hope Springs Eternal! Go Reds
Griffey's not the only one setting milestones
This is my 1,000th comment. I didn’t realize how few comments I had considering I’ve been around for awhile.
Congratulations to you
Now don’t get carpal tunnel or something. We need you healthy for the playoff push.

21 right now
This should probably be his last inning.

weren't around
during the Janish and German extraction thread?
...because there's already someone posing as Jacob Brumfield
Actually...
...I just put a blueberry cobbler to bake in the oven.
I come back, and find Ron Villone pitching. I can’t believe he’s still in the majors.
All Things Bubba: Because how can you not love a baseball player named Bubba?
Strange
Does it seem like the announcers have been much more complimentary of the players this year while taking pains to point out the culture of complaining (which they have fostered for years) in the media and fanbase? Perhaps a mandate from Bob?

Harriet Tubman, for one...
emancipation proclamation and all

Released a few days ago
I think I read that somewhere.

I read...
...that he was released by the Reds.
All Things Bubba: Because how can you not love a baseball player named Bubba?
hey BRef fans
announcers just said that LaRussa has 3rd most wins as a manager
so I’m curious; who was the most wins as a player and manager combined? Any guesses?
...because there's already someone posing as Jacob Brumfield
Gotta love it.
Other than Bruce, he’s player that I get the best feeling about when he’s doing well.

Speaking of surprising roster moves...
Dontrelle Willis optioned to Single-A. You don’t think the Reds would do that to Homer after today’s outing, would you? Nahhh.
"My wife ain't never ran and got me no pheasant." - Fistbands
Homer might go back
but I think he needs to be up here learning on this level, as painful as it might be
Hope Springs Eternal! Go Reds
learning that he sucks?
how do you go from being a prolific strikeot pitcher you entire career to this? Has he been talking to Dave Miley and Dan O’brien?
was that ball that Poo holes hit as far out of the strike zone as Game Day said?
It said it was in the other batters box.
wow, you want Pujols to run it out?
I’m all for playing the game the right way, but that’s a little intense.
I keed, I keed.

3 innings to get five runs
The test begins… NOW-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow
/The first rule of Fight Test is, you do not talk about Fight Test
Once you reach 600
your homers also get bonus runs.

y'know, if Pujols won't be using his leg...
maybe he could let Kepp use his patella for a week or two?
...because there's already someone posing as Jacob Brumfield
we'll have 4 back-to-back-etc. in the bottom of the 8th
yeah, that’s the ticket!

I hope this series doesnt end up being a bullpen killer...
Need a good long outing tomm…
It's Johnny C. Good, right?
So I predict it’ll end better than Homer B. Bad’s outing.

Do you think that teams bring pitchers up just to face the Reds?
If you're not having fun, stop participating.
well he has to pitch sometimes..i guess i would rather him pitch there than 8th inning in close game
I don't really mind seeing him in the 8th inning of a close game
because, that means the Reds actually managed to play an MLB team close through seven innings.
FIRE DUSTY BAKER
I honestly think
that Cards pitchers are like those MLB ‘08 dynasty-mode draft picks you get.
Mitch Boggs? Chris Perez? these can’t be real people, right.
...because there's already someone posing as Jacob Brumfield
the reds have exactly 2 hitters batting over .270 (not including Hairston)
Not going to win much with that.
Yup
Their Brendan is actually having a pretty good game. So, St. Louis and Milwaukee are both batting their pitchers 8th. Any chances of that thought spreading to the rest of the NL Central? Is there any way the odds of Dusty ever doing this are higher than zero?

Russ Springer
Continuing the fine baseball tradition of having the most unfortunate facial hair of all athletes.
I'm not so sure about that...
Unless you don’t count NASCAR drivers as athletes. Young Jeff Gordon may have had the worst trash ‘stash I’ve ever seen.
He's really earning that Cap'n Crunch nickname we had for him in '06.

I guess it is time to face the facts. We are just not a good team.
We have some good young players, but we are not contending this year for sure.
i gotta speak up
look at this team’s record. after tonight’s loss, we are a very fixable 4 games under .500. this is not the Reds of 2001-2007. this team has talent, and a competitve amount of it. also, take a look at the NL Central standings. this division is brutal. we are dead last, 10.5 out, and we are only 4 GAMES UNDER .500! i know i sound like im making a mountain of a molehill, but this team has routinely been 10+ games under at this time of the season. they may not be able to catch the cubs, and hell, maybe the wild card is still out of reach. but this team is rising. YES WE CAN!

The problem is
no one told them that they were at home.
If you're not having fun, stop participating.
I don't think that was the problem

I can't believe...
...”you know who” didn’t show up to gloat.
All Things Bubba: Because how can you not love a baseball player named Bubba?
I told you so on Bailey
Yet, not a whisper of my out in front of the Joesixpack fans that bashed me for telling the truth.
The guy doesn’t have his power stuff anymore. Was he a steriod baby or bad arm? Who knows or cares. He does have the body projection to gain back that power he has lost if he was roiding up, but it won’t be for another 2 years most likely. The guy is very physically immature and should probably be in AA.
shut up dude
Bailey has pitched 2 major league games thus far this year, and one of them was pretty decent. do you have any proof of him taking steroids or having an arm injury? you have nothing but asinine, short-sighted, hot air speculation and brooding pessimism. if that’s your bag, then fine, dont let me stop you. but take it elsewhere.
