My biased view
We are suckin. I don't wish to give up on the year but it's getting harder to believe the reds will turn it around. The point I see as key is Jr. vs, Dunn. I will never bash KGJ because he is a sure HOF and a great ball player ( in the era of cheaters ) that played the game by the rules. I know he is done as a great run producer and has no real trade value other than sentimentality. Adam far from Dunn on the other hand is peak age of production. I hear the rants too many k's, low average, clubhouse misfit, and for what it is worth non clutch. This is my take on the situation.
Trade BA: several teams need a quality #3 inning eater.
Trade Stormy and/or JB: as all teams need mediocre bullpen help.
Call up the present future Bruce and Homer.
With this fair trade value, the reds should be able to secure the RH bat and leadoff player that is lacking. I presume that everyone knew the reds were at least 1 year away if not 2 before the season started. The core is there to be special and that is what all reds fans want. Dunn needs to be signed for at least 2 years. I also would like to see some of the younger arms brought up to learn big league lessons (Maloney, Thompson, Jukrich and maybe Herreraa) for the next generation. If I am totally off base please help me see the way to a pennant for our beloved.

Bruce should be up today or tomorrow
Homer appears to have hit a wall in his development..To bring him up now could be the equivalent watching a baby seal being clubbed to death.
I would also seriously consider how the talent on this team has been used or misused. The little Gnome Guy that managed in Dustbag’s absence was a marked (if still extremely unacceptable) improvement over Dusty Baker. I believe that a;though this is not a great team, the talent is pretty misused almost daily. E.G. How long can CoPat continue to be anything but a bench player/5th outfielder?

I really think this team can still win the Central. But they have to stop giving away games in the standings. Even with 3 blown saves yesterday the pitching is good enough to win this division.
If they can eliminate bone head base running mistakes, brutal defensive lapses and over come Dusty they have a shot.
Get Patterson out of the lead off spot. I know line ups don’t matter as much as one thinks after the first time through, but he is hitting .208 as the first batter of a game this season. Freel is hitting .444 in that same scenario (smaller sample size). Quite frankly he is not doing the job. His job is to get on base and play solid defense. If they must keep him then he should be relegated to the same role Castro had in the infield. TSF Corey Patterson
