I can see Dusty's back
Look who’s batting leadoff. Also why is it everytime Joey Votto starts hitting, he’s benched?
And even if Walt sends Corey packing and calls up Jay Bruce what’s over/under on will Dusty play him.
How much wood does a woodchuck chuck if he's using a chainsaw.
Sigh. How long has Maddux been beating us?
Reminds me of a Cubs game I attended in Chicago a few years ago. Jose Rijo, as the peak of his comeback, pitched 6 shutout innings against the Cubs.
Cubs fans were lamenting on WGN, “What next, we get beat by Mario Soto?”
Where have you gone, Johnny Vander Meer?
I was there
If you mean this one I think. He only went 5 innings and gave up one unearned.

True though the other Reds catchers seem to make their share of blunders. But Javy at least knows you can see more than 2 pitches in an at bat and Ross was pretty awful swinging the bat last year.

Brutal battle in Pittsburgh
They’re in the 11th inning, after going 14 innings last night. Wasted a terrific start by Phil Dumatrait yesterday. And poor Doug Mientkiewicz was so sick he could hardly walk from 1B to the dugout. They pinch-hit him in the bottom of the 9th, he ended up scoring and tying the game…and had to play five more innings.

Not sure
But they’ll probably try to shop him soon.
According to my friend the Pirates fan, they’ve been waiting for him to have a good season. He was injured for awhile, and then hit a bad slump. But he’s starting to hit well, so now might be the time.
All Things Bubba: Because how can you not love a baseball player named Bubba?
Dumatrait became a starter again
when Matt Morris was cut due to suckitude and decided to retire.
Dumatrait is doing okay. His ERA is 4.05.

Good effort Belisle
Against the worst offense in baseball in a real pitcher’s park. Way to step up Matt. Time for annother heart to heart with DicK Pole. You know things are bad when you want your pitcher to be replaced with Fogg.
I guess wanting 3 wins on this road trip
Might be too much but come on Reds.

Judging by the line up
This looks like an NFL or NBA team angling for a high draft choice. Unfortunately, in baseball, that doesn’t work.
