Voltron plugged in
Wow that tastes good. If the Reds Jared Burton could have held on to keep Volquez in line for the win, we'd be seeing his name three times on that graphic. He's not going to lead the league in wins, but ERA and strikeouts are definite possibilities.
Here's another look at his performance:

The great thing about this list is how few innings and pitches Voltron threw. Dusty Speier could have left him in for a seventh inning and 15 or so more pitches, but he saved his arm after 7 straight 100-pitch starts. I feel a lot more comfortable about his next few starts.
Of course, we're still stuck with this:

ooooh, looks liek somebody got some new screen capture software
And I consider Volquez’s name to be on all three of those lists. No reason why Tim Hudson deserves his name on there while Volquez gets relegated to “2 more tied with 7”

it also should be noted that voltron is tied for second in wins in the NL
also, I know how to use the “Print Screen” button, shortstophole
What do you mean, "blank slate"?
Yep, sure got a good'un in Voltron
I believe that with a different General manager (than Waynr) and a different field manager than the AntiClog, we would not have had to put up with Corey. But for now – maybe only until Tuesday (hope hope hope) we are saddled with this guy – a 7 or 8 hitter at best; a fourth or fifth outfielder at best. Until Bruce comes up the options are;
Freel everyday
continue to Platoon Farney and CoPat
Use Jerry Jr. in Center and lose even more defense.
Even though Hobbs is lighting up the American league, i still believe that the trade is a really good one. Edinson could be a dominant guy for a number of years, barring injury of course. But we all know this, if only Bailey could right his ship…
It will interesting to see if Belizze has found his ‘voice’...that would be very exciting
And if so we’d have two new weapons with Belizzle and Bruce.

Anyone else glad the Reds passed on Lincecum?
Can you imagine the amount of strife and conflict the Reds would have on their roster if they had two young pitchers competing for the NL lead in Ks and ERA? We don’t need that kind of distraction in our clubhouse.

Chemistry is unquantifiable.
And clubhouses with real chemistry can turn scrap into wins!
Your fancy-pants “statistics” can’t touch that.
chemistry leads to wins?
That’s an interesting theory…

"Hard being everybody’s hero, I suppose." - Buck O'Neil on Willie Mays
Functional "chemistry" leads to success in family, business and athletics.
When you’re winning and everything is hunky-dory then “bad chemistry” can be overcome or even overlooked.
But when you’re losing or sales are down, dealing with the cancers, the negative cretins and nay-sayers is imperative. these folks can ruin an office, a home or a team.
Over the years I’ve had to remove (fire/or otherwise get rid of) some of the best sellers in companies that I’ve owned or managed because in the long run they do way much more harm than good. Naysayers and egotists can tear down the confidence of and deplete the energy of those around them and more importantly ‘clog up the bases’ and stop the run production..
I know that ‘Chemistry’ is an unquantifiable characteristic but after years of experience as a General Manager, sales manager and coach, I know this is true, when all things are fairly equal: Good chemistry (not just ‘everybody getting along BS) beats bad chemistry every time. When everyone is on board and able to put up with each other’s idiosyncrasies productivity increases.

There are a lot of big names on that list
David Wright
Ryan Braun
Adrian Gonzalez
Mark Teixiera
...
Corey Patterson
Big things lie ahead for that man.
