.477 and climbing

It is remarkable that 6 days ago the Reds were 7.5 out and on a losing streak that made me wonder if this team had enough talent to win 70 games. We've now watched them win 8 out of the last  10 games, climb out of the cellar and knock a game and a half off the lead. Only two games from.500 led by  Volquez  at (7-1), BP, Joey Votto and a surge from the ever unpopular Adam Dunn. Harang is pitching like Harang, Bronson appears to have found his rythm, Ceuto  is developing and Voltron is god-like. The loss of Jeff Keppinger, once thought a possible mortal blow has been softened by the play of Jerry Hairston and now the amazing Paul Jannish (small sample i know). Despite Ken Griffey Jr,'s obvious slowdown,Dusty Baker's irrational lineups and  J. Bruce still at AAA, the Reds have come alive. It is also apparent that Uncloe Jocko would like to move Jr. but no one's interested. While this team is hot it is time to bring up Jay Bruce and  As soon as possible. There is no reason whatsoever, other than the clock to keep him at Louisville

There are other teams that must be looking for some punch, some speed, some aggressiveness in their lineups. Why can't we move  Freel, Hatteberg or Patterson for a young pitching prospect or even a VP reliever. I am stoked about the possibilities of this team with EdE, Votto, BP, ADAM DUNN, Harang, Bronson, Ceuto, Volton , Keppinger (when he returns) and even ol' Ken Griffey Jr. The role players ain't too bad - Bako, LLM, Jerry Jr. Coco, Bray, Jared, and even Stormy Graves...

Now is the time to make a big push, bring up Jay and keep the streak alive. The Reds are starting to play at the level many of thought they would for 2008. We really don't need CoPat, Freel (as much as I love the guy), Hatteberg or an extra catcher. C'mon Uncle Jocko lets makes some moves and go for it in 2008.
