No fluff analysis or pictures on this one. You know why this game is special. I've been looking forward to it all week. Time for Cliff Lee to see his ERA go up.

Cliff Lee
is having a monster season. he has always been pretty good, last year being a bit of a fluke, but this is unreal. If he played on the East Coast he would be all over ESPN. But since he is here in O-H-I-O with the rest of us he flies below the radar. I’m sure the Yankees and Red Sox are already trying to figure out how to get him.
They have an outstanding starting staff that we match up with pretty decently. And we have the edge in the bullpen.
This should be another outstanding game. A good old good one. Go Reds
Hope Springs Eternal! Go Reds
Yeah, what happened to him last year?
I read that he was sent to the minors, but I didn’t hear anything about that at the time.
Lets hope for a nice 1-0 victory
As I have Cliff Lee on my fantasy team. Im off to the game.

I don't think we'll be getting any more respect from our Tribe counterparts
Even after winning the series. I would love to come out today and put a big hurt on Cliff Lee, just to punctuate the fact that the Reds are rounding into form.
I would love too see that
Brendan. Cause I still believe even with the roster flaws the ‘Legs can make the playoffs.
I was on a flush draw?!?!?
No
I remember watching Canadian Sportscenter in Windsor once, though. “All eyes are on Halifax today as the junior hockey championships blah blah blah.”

No Reds in Canadia today without Votteaux. Maybe Puerto Rico will rest their lonely eyes on the LLM instead?

Dusty's memory continues to blow me away...
this quote from CTR:
“We’ve all got to do it sometime,” Reds manager Dusty Baker said. “I faced Juan Marichal in my first start. Then I had Mike Cuellar.”
I’m not going to bust him for actually starting against Steve Carlton in hist first game. But I’m pretty impressed that he remembers facing One Scary MF 39 years ago. not shaby.

Votto and Hatte on the bench?
I’d rather see them get rid of LLM than putting him in the lineup at first to get playing time. And batting BP and EdE back to back to keep Dunn hitting 6th or below is stupid. What happened to knifey-spooney or whatever? At least Soft J starting at short today!
