if so how far did it go?

also, if so why was there not more excitement about it?

1) No.

2) Real far. Cleared the visitors’ bullpen in Right (lower than the moondeck)
3) Because it’s Dunn.

Yeah, sigh

I’ll have to give you that.

by Brendanukkah on May 17, 2008 5:23 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I kinda think 500 is a bigger deal

because it’s pretty much a ticket into the Hall.

by ken on May 17, 2008 5:24 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, it's a big milestone

But 600 is obviously a lot rarer. I gotta say that 600’s the bigger deal. Or it should be.

by Brendanukkah on May 17, 2008 5:26 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

700 is the new 600,

and 500 is still the Hall threshhold. So 600 gets lost in the shuffle. That’s how my theory goes.

Brantley, as a play-by-play guy,

is really bad imo. His droning monotone is what I was referring to above. As an analyst, he makes a few good points about pitching but it comes with so much other crap.

i think you missed the point

If you want one run in a 9th inning, if a lineup is constructed well, you’re not going to want the 5-6-7 hitters coming up rather than the top of the order.

My apologies for not making that clear :)
