Game 43 Thread: Reds vs. Indians
Cleveland Indians at Cincinnati Reds, May 17, 2008 3:55 PM EDT

The Nebulous Internet (Carmona), Al Behrman/AP (Harang)
|
|
|
Two things I want to point out about Carmona. First, as you can see in the picture, he pitches with an arm that is growing out of his back. Second, he has nearly TWICE AS MANY WALKS AS STRIKEOUTS. I yelled that not in honor of our fallen bigdeal, but because the Reds have to, have to, have to be patient today. Force Camona to throw strikes. If he does, then you start swinging. Otherwise take the walk if he'll give it to you. That means more pitches for him and more base runners for us.
Harang - just keep on doing what you keep on doing.
Now show of hands: Who wants to see a 5th win in a row today?
By the by, this game is on FOX today. Check local listings.

Since "adblock" is a compound word anyway, why don't we just say it in one word?

Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Previously played by David Hasselhoff.

by Brendanukkah on May 17, 2008 3:19 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
In the movies, he's going to be the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Basically, America’s top spy and head of national security. He controls the Avengers, America’s premier super hero team. In Marvel’s “The Ultimates” series, they patterned Nick Fury specifically on Samuel L. Jackson (with his permission), so it’s awesome that Sam’s going to play Nick Motherfucking Fury in the movies.
Here he is in the comics.

Yes
By my reading. The trade was:
June 27, 2002: Traded by the Montreal Expos with Cliff Lee, Grady Sizemore, and Lee Stevens to the Cleveland Indians for Bartolo Colon and Tim Drew.
And MLB took over the Expos in late 2001/early 2002, from what I can gather from wikipedia.
