Right, it's illustrating my point, I guess.

The fact that a human being sat down at a computer, logged onto Red Reporter, typed this post, and hit the submit button is absolutely mind-boggling to me.

UNauthorized REPRODUCTION and DISSEMINATION

does anybody remember the early internet physics kooks? Back in the early 90’s, when the Reds were still (nearly) reigning world champions, and the internet was a small world. Robert McElwaine, Ludwig Plutonium and his friend Archimedes Plutonium—they all had these crazy theories of the universe that they would post everywhere. McElwaine was a master of the all-caps, and he even had a .sig way back then: UNauthorized REPRODUCTION and DISSEMINATION of this information is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED

Ahh, the good old days…

by bbjones on May 15, 2008 8:16 PM EDT up reply actions

internet in the early '90s??

i imagine back in those days they all had hilarious old-fashioned handlebar moustaches and they wore high socks and all the .gifs were in black and white.

If you don't get a good-night kiss, you get Kafka dreams.

we certainly didn’t have any of this fancy “new posts pop up on your screen as you read” stuff. Even back then, the newsgroups were a bit like the ESPN comment sections. The only decent Reds group was a listserv run by the guys that now do Redleg Nation.

But still, nobody knew you were a dog…
