Was tempted to leave the bar-gambling establishment after we hit 6 runs but stuck it out for some reason. It was really painful to watch the 9th but when the Marlin didn´t take the lead I had a good feeling that the game was still ours. Something about the Marlins being overly content with just tying the game. On the road, you gotta play for the win. I am only half serious here, obvioulsy they were trying to win it, but the fact that they only could tie it was crucial to the Reds chances. 3 run rally killer?

I said Wednesday after the game that I was at a game when Eric Owens hit a walk off in his debut. According to Fay, Eric Owens was the last Red to do so in his debut – June 6, 1995. Wow! If I remember correctly, it was a hard groundball up the middle to score Larkin from second.
