So the Marlins have been kicking ass this year, huh?  They're 23-14 and 3 games up in the East.  They are 11-5 on the road this season.  They've won 7 straight.  Super.

At least the Reds have Harang on the mound tonight.  That's like a guaranteed win.  What?  He's 1-5.  Damnit, Hitler was right!

Don't forget, andromache is representin' on Jeopardy tonight!

If batting Dunn in the 2-slot gets him 50 more plate appearances a season...

Then hitting him 7th would… screw it, I’m not a mathtrician.

I may not be able to watch the Reds

But I’ve got a TV lineup of Jeopardy (go andromache!), HIMYM (“Kids, here’s another story about your dad having sex twenty years ago.”), and Big Bang Theory. Huzzah for Mondays!

i will be dvring all of those, and watching the reds game

Big Bang Theory? Really?

I’ve never seen it, but surely it must be terrible, no?

You'd think so

I mean, it’s by the creators of “Two and a Half Men,” for Christ’s sake! And the theme song is by the Barenaked Ladies. And I HATE the Barenaked Ladies. But I like the theme song and I like the show. It appeals to both the geek and the nerd in me. I think they won me over when the correctly stated that Superman is vulnerable to magic.

I’m certainly not holding it up as the best show on television by any stretch, but as traditional sitcoms go, it’s pretty decent. Plus there’s a strong “Roseanne” pedigree, so that helps. For someone jumping in, they might not enjoy it that much. But I’ve been with it for the duration, and I’m standing by it.

Pretty good summation of my feelings about Dayton, too, come to think of it.

by Brendanukkah on May 12, 2008 5:27 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

i agree with everything brendan said

i started watching it from the beginning because it came on after HIMYM. I expected it to be terrible, but i’m starved for comedies. It was pretty funny the first week, and better the second week, and soon I started looking forward to it. The chararacter Sheldon is extremely funny, and the girl is indeed hot.

Knocked out? Of what?

Was Suge Knight on Dancing With the Stars? Whoa. If he’s entered the reality TV circuit, then a rematch between him and Vanilla Ice just took a big step closer to probability.

Holy crap, Dusty. In what world does Patterson hit first, BP fourth, and Dunn seventh?

I already know that this doesn’t happen in Canadia. So maybe somewhere else…

When the Reds signed CP to the minor league contrat

I got shit from my friends here that Corey Patterson would be batting lead off for the Reds all season.

And it’s actually happening. For some reason, I still can’t it’s actually happening.

Do you think that Harang may pull out a gun and shoot Corey Patterson if he goes 7 innings with 1 ER, but gets the loss?
