Where's the farm report?
Just wondering what happened with the farm report the last couple days, i really enjoy those writeups. They give great insight to our up and coming farm system and with some of the recent call ups i havent seen how they have been doing. any feedback would be greatly appreciated. now lets go win a series on the road and keep this offense alive holy s*** that sounds weird. Lets start a winning streak go reds!

Look like Boobs has been away
Maybe he’s visiting his mom.
Bats game is rained out today.
Homer Bailey had a rough outing yesterday.
IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA 4.1 11 7 6 2 1 1 3.55
But the Bats won anyway, helped by homers by Paul Janish and Jay Bruce.
Andy Phillips was 2 for 5, with a 2-RBI double. Which means his hitting streak is alive. It’s at 13 now, and the longest active streak in the IL.
Oh, and Majewski has been a total stud lately.

Homer may resemble Christian Bale at rest
but mid-pitch he’s all Paul Dano

Sorry
Rick’s been on hiatus this weekend. If someone wants to throw up a summary of the weekend events in the minors, we’ll gladly post up front for all to see.

Dragons
I saw the doubleheader yesterday, a pair of 7 inning games caused by the rainout on Friday.
Game 1 of the doubleheader was a lot of fun. Logan Parker hit a grand slam in the first inning. Preston Mattingly (yes, Don’s son) hit a solo shot for the Loons. Keltavious Jones was 2-2 with a pair of walks and an RBI, Denis Phipps 2-4 with an RBI also. Luis Montano pitched 5 innings and gave up 5 runs, but the Dragons won 7-6.
Game 2 was basically the ‘B’ squad. The Dragons scored two runs in the first inning on hits by Brandon Menchaca, Denis Phipps, Brandon Waring, and Jake Long. They held on to a 2-1 lead until the top of the 7th, when starter Scott Carroll was pulled with runners on and reliever Joseph Krebs walked in a run, then allowed 3 more to score. 2-5, Loons win and knock the Dragons back into a tie with West Michigan for first place.
Today’s game rained out also.

Oh, and..
Devin Mesoraco was 1-3 in the first game with a pair of shots to the warning track in center that were caught.
Justin Reed caught one deep in right-center and showed off a heck of an arm to nail a runner trying to advance to second. The SS didn’t even have to move his glove, the throw was spot on.

Bailey
Homer has been pitching great in AAA, which is good to see after his weak performance for the Reds last year. Bruce and him will be up in June.
