Game 4 Thread: Reds vs Phillies Part IV
This fan post must be at least seventy five words long and I don't know how I'm going to get to seventy five words without Adam Dunn in the lineup. Dusty took him out and we're down by three runs and prolly somehting like twenty words at this point and thing s are not looking good but wait.. wait a minute.. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna get to seveny five words.
But now the question is.. who's gonna score the Reds' runs?

Dunn's Exit?
Could it be the day game coming tomorrow? Give him a half day off and keep him fresh for the Saturday matinee? Or maybe he heard something in his swing tonight that was off, and wanted shake things up?
I don't really think these are good reasons, just trying not to hate fistbands this early.
The 2008 big faith tour rolls on.

good thing for the double switch, woulda had to pinch hit with hatteberg here.
by greg456 on Apr 4, 2008 10:57 PM EDT 0 recs
yeah
This never made any sense. There must be something wrong with Dunn. Maybe he didn't hustle down the line on his last pop out or something. There's just no conceivable reason, even if Dusty gets a hard on for speedy outfielders.

Freel up.
And this would be the pitcher's spot where, uh, Freel would be pinch hitting. Instead, because Dunn was taken out, it's, um, Freel.

Hello all
I'm here, have no fear, etc. Welcome JCTWAS. Screw you Ash. Hey Slyde, how's the Captain? I made it through game thread #1 before saying screw it and jumping in live. Also, I'm 5 beers deep at this point. Let's do this thing.
Quick thoughts - Fogg blows, d'oh!. Chase Utley ate my balls. And Corey Patterson is about to disappoint me. That is all.

sooooo
is it better if dunn is hurt OR he's perfectly healthy and our manager has just proven himself certifiably insane?
both could have terrible longterm effects. i'll go with dusty being insane, because if dunn is hurt, there's still a 90% chance dusty is certifiably insane.
get that?

Latest thought beamed from Dusty's brain @@@@
Adam had a bad day at the lakes. All he could catch were baby bluegill, see?
And on top of that, his pet Beagle has been depressed.
Also, he's upset that Jericho has finally been completely cancelled.
Can't you all understand why Adam is in no shape to hit a baseball? I mean, a real baseball man understands.

Present a dilemma for Dusty Baker...
1. Play Kepp - who is a good hitter.
2. Play A-Gonz - who sucks.
Yep, that IS a dilemma

For some reason
there have been a lot of different spellings of Scott Hatteberg's name this year. What's up with that? It's not like we haven't seen this guy before.

Everyone should know how to spell your name. Every time you take a ball when batting with Hatteberg they say "Book lovers out there know that this guy is not afraid to take a few pitches"

Fogg is weak.
The offense is not proficient.
Dusty is insane.
Javy's hurt, making Paul Bako our #1 catcher.
But..
2 IP, 0 hits, 0 BB, 4 K
Four... And one of 'em was Ryan Howard.
Jared Burton is sweeet.
