Josh Fogg has a tough act to follow as he makes his debut in Reds uniform. He's in the rotation to keep the momentum going for the team between the youngsters, though technically I believe Harang is pitching tomorrow. Kyle Kendrick is just back from his trade to Japan and looking to show what he learned over there. We've got rain on the menu again tonight, but hopefully it won't interfere too much.
Administrative note: We're going to start moderating the size of pictures in game threads to keep them from getting bogged down. From now on, if you are posting images (even if they're hot-linked) that are over 60kb, we might have to delete them. The new site's running slow as it is, so this should help speed things up.
Note that we are talking about the size of the image in bytes, which you can't lessen by changing the height and width in html. If you have a picture that you want to post, that is too big, you can upload it to Imageshack and have them resize it on the upload. I don't anticipate that we will be deleting a lot of comments because of this, but I wanted to alert you in case your comment was deleted and you didn't know why.
Also, we'll be going to a new thread after 200 comments instead of the usual 300. Both of these moves will hopefully only be temporary because the development team is working on the performance bugs. Once they get things running better, we should be able to go back to business as usual.

And the Reds are..
..0-1 against young Kyle even though Dunn, Griffey, Hatteberg and Hamilton hit him hard. (You may remember the "Ewwwww." performance from Homer's.)
Kendrick is okay but the Reds should be able to tee off on him again. He doesn't really strike people out but he's kinda like the Phillies' Tom Shearn. He was there when they needed him last year and he outperformed expectations.

Limiting image size...
...is probably a good idea for game threads. Thank you. Game threads are so slow with the new RR that they are pretty much unusable for me.
However, I'm not sure it will help your server load much. As I understand it, if the images are not hosted on the RR server, it's not a hit on your bandwidth.
What DOES slow the page loading down is having to contact multiple different servers to serve the page. So having links to images from all over the web, even if they're all very small, will slow the page loading down.
I'm on staff at a fairly busy web site that recently switched from Scoop to Drupal. Page loading was seriously slow, so they asked those of us on staff to upload images to the server rather than hot-link them. Those not on staff were asked to host their images at Flickr before linking, just to reduce the number of different servers that had to be contacted to load the page.
