.....he's spending it in Louisville, instead of Cincinnati. I know he has less than a half season's worth of experience above A, but he's excelled, at times dominated, at every level he's played at thus far. There are only a hand full of young talents like this at any time in the game, and most of them become at least good players, when given the opportunity. I hope he's called up soon, once it finally occurs to everyone that Corey Patterson is not a legitimate starting center fielder. However, I fear we'll have to go through a few hundred at bats of him and Ryan before we get to that point, but Bruce has shown he can play, even at his age. It was a mistake not to call him up late last season and give him a few ABs before this spring, preparing him for the show. But he's young enough that, save for injury, confidence, or the strikeout bug, he's going to be a good player when he gets his chance. He's the best young all-around talent I've seen in this organization as a player since Barry Larkin.

He'd already been reassigned to minor league camp when I got to Sarasota (and I never did make it to a minor league game). So here's a photo from a Bats game last year:

My prediction: he'll be called up in June, like Homer was last year. It's all about the clock.

I had my "shot" last night at GABP. For those that are wondering, you can't do shots in the Machine Room, but you can get a nip of liquor put over ice, as long as you don't pound it. But it's not a shot. So don't call it that.

I say he's up on June 10th, at home vs. St. Louis.
