why does Chris love on field bullpens?

too me it is best if the bullpens aren’t on the field. It presents several dangers, a pitcher or catcher can get hit by a line drive, or a defensive player can turn an ankle, tear an ankle tendon, or ACL, or what not.

nice catch fan,

now let this nice security guard show you the way the hell out of here

by Blue on Apr 27, 2008 12:19 AM EDT reply actions

you should

because you are interfering with play. I don’t care if it is a foul ball and you touch it, but if you lean over for a fair ball you should be ejected.

true

that happened when i went to spring training, it was a foul ball, and a guy leaned over the railing and fell over, the guard told him he had to leave because he touched the playing surface, even at spring training!

Belisle better than his ERA tonight

5 hits 1 walk in 5 innings. They just kept finding ways to move men over.

eh perhaps

but he also pitched against a very weak offensive team. I still can’t imagine at this rate he will be in the rotation for long.

by cokane on Apr 27, 2008 12:47 AM EDT up reply actions

you think a WHIP of 1.20 is bad?

i was pleased with him. There were so many bloops. He gave up a broken bat RBI hit i think. That is unlucky.

is that what I said?

chill out buddy. The fact remains that the giants are a pretty weak hitting team. They are tied with San Diego for fewest runs scored in the NL, they are last in OBP, 14th in average and slugging pct. Imagine Belisle facing the Cubs and I think you’ll see that he’s not likely to fare well.

Belisle only gave up 4 hits but he also gave up a homer and a triple too, so WHIP isn’t the only stat out there.

i agree with this

and id like to see affeldt get another shot to start, hes been doing well lately, and i dont think it would hut to give him a chance.
