Activated Gallardo from the DL to start today, and sent down a position player. Hence, 14 pitchers and only 3 bench guys. Speculation is they’ll send this Stetter kid back down and bring Gwynn up, but my guess is they couldn’t get all that done in time to get Gwynn back for today’s game.

there is no set date
it depends on the percentage of players with 2+ years experience. I can’t remember what percent (20?), but if he is in the top percent in terms of service time, he is a super 2.

I'm less worried about when he starts arbitration
and more worried about when he’ll hit free agency. Super 2 guys still have to have 6 full years of service time before they’re Free Agents, they just get 4 shots at arbitration.
I believe we are past the point where he could accrue a full year of service time for the 2008 season.
