Should we defend Marty?
The folks at Bleed Cubbie Blue are a bit unhappy with Marty after his rant Wednesday night when Cubs Fans Threw Balls all over the outfield. I kind of defended him, but they got a link to the audio, and why I agree with a lot of it, it is a bit hard to defend everything he said.

I have to wait 24 hours to post? Weak sauce. They said hiring Thom Brennaman when Marty didn’t want the Cubs play-by-play job was a terrible case of nepotism. This makes no sense. The Reds hiring Thom might be a case of nepotism, but Marty has no say in who the Cubs sign to do their play-by-play.

The big Charlotte sports show
played Marty and Jeff’s rant today in it’s entirety.
Their board op is an obnoxious Cubs fan. Hearing him getting beside himself about Marty’s comments was quite enjoyable.
I like bitter, over-generalizing Marty when he’s not taking a shot at the Reds.
