Or, "City folks just don't get it"? I think we're close here.
Triple-A: Paul Janish homered and Drew T. Anderson tripled as part of one of two game-tying rallies, but Louisville lost 7-6 to Norfolk. Bill Bray had another solid appearance, striking out two in his perfect inning, but Gary Majewski came in and gave up two hits and a wild pitch to give the Tides the lead in the 10th. In five appearances (5.1 innings), Bray has allowed one hit and struck out 10, allowing no runs. In Majewski's his five appearances (6 innings), Majewski has allowed 14 hits, 2 homers and 8 earned runs. I love one of those guys. Jay Bruce had the day off after jamming his shoulder Wednesday. UP NEXT: Game 4 of the series in Louisville, Jay Bruce figurine giveaway night. First 2,000 fans, gates open at 5:30. I'm getting mine.
Double-A: Drew M. Anderson got Chattanooga within a run with a blast in the ninth, and Luis Bolivar put them over the top with a 3-run jack as the Lookouts beat Huntsville 6-4. B.J. Szymanski finally went hitless, Danny Ray Herrera gave up another run and Josh Roenicke got the win. UP NEXT: Game 5 of this mercilessly long series is tonight at 7.
High A: Sarasota had the night off and will host Ft. Myers tonight at 7.
Low A: Dayton had the day off and will host Clinton today at 7.

Like Bubba, a product of Rice University. Judging from the radio broadcast, his home run was a monster shot. His first of the year.
Majewski really isn’t very good, is he?
Wow
CNN is reporting an earthquake in Louisville. They’re showing broken bricks all over a road, supposedly from a college building in downtown Louisville.
Hope those Jay Bruce action figures were packed well….
f'real?
I remember that there’s a “zone” in Kentucky bought I thought it was over primarily in Missouri.

It woke me up because my bed was shaking.
WHY SHOULD I CHANGE IT? HE'S THE ONE WHO SUCKS!
New Madrid fault line?
be a shame to see the action figures lost. Could be a very bad omen

ive always heard that one day the new madrid fault line
will produce one of the biggest earthquakes the continent has ever experienced. So far, color me unimpressed.

I heard that, too
It did back in 1811 and1812, and it was catastrophic. Geysers of sand exploding from the ground, rivers re-routed, buildings as far away as Boston were damaged. (The bedrock is a lot harder in the eastern part of the US, so earthquakes travel farther.) There were hardly any people living in the New Madrid area at the time, so it was not really a big deal. (Except to the few who lived there, who had to put up with the tremors for months.)
It’s supposedly overdue for another big one. But this wasn’t it.
maybe it was some sort of preshock before the big one

it woke me up
but it wasn’t much of anything. im sure there were no figurines injured in the making of this earthquake.

Riiiight.
I guess “Future Farmers of America” is a term that is (hopefully) reserved for Josh Fogg, Juan Casto and Todd Coffey.
