Minding the farm
- Louisville rained out. Doubleheader today at 5:30.
- The Lookouts were off and travel to Huntsville today.
- Sarasota managed just three hits and lost 1-0 to Tampa, but two of the hits came off the bat of Drew Stubbs. Jordan Smith had his third straight impressive start: 7.1 innings, 7H, 1R, 5K, 0BB.

Does anybody know when BR and/or BBcube update their '08 minor league stats?

BR just got minor league stats at the end of last season
so I don't know if they have a plan for updated stats on the minors throughout the season. I don't know about TBC either. So, I'm no help.
FanGraphs does have updated 2008 minor league stats though. So, that might help.
WHY SHOULD I CHANGE IT? HE'S THE ONE WHO SUCKS!
Funny.
I had checked Jay's FanGraphs but I saw "Bill James" and two other projections so I just stopped my downward scan and assumed that MiLB was the only site with updated stuff.

Does anyone know what's going on with Baseball Cube?
I sponsored the Bubba Crosby page, and I'm supposed to be paid up through August. But my link is gone and the page is listed as up for sponsorship again. It's impossible to get in contact with them. Their "contact us" pages are all 404. They don't appear to have updated their blog since March, either. Have they abandoned baseball in favor of hockey?

Homer looking good in Louisville
he's about to finish off the complete game (7 innings)

He's never had a complete game
And still hasn't. The radio announcers said he was irate at being pulled. He wanted to finish it.
Bats win, on a David Ross triple (he came home on a wild pitch).
he's always irate, methinks
im not a homer fan

LOL
I know what you mean. He did smile when he got that ovation as he left the mound in Scranton, and I realized that I couldn't remember ever seeing him smile before.
Shearn gave up his first run(s) of the season tonight...

Andy Phillips...
...not in the lineup of either game of the double header. He must be injured or something.
Shearn having a rough night
And someone e-mailed the Bats radio guys and said the Cincinnati media is reporting a move might be made. Krivsky and other brass are reportedly at the game.
The e-mailer thought Hairston or Cabrera might be called up (because of the bad news about A-Gon?)
Or maybe they wanted to see Homer pitch...
sweaters was there yesterday, too
my guess was that he was there to see homer or ross. i think ross is the more obvious move. also, belisle is pitching tomorrow. if he goes another nine innings, no runs, krivsky has a lot to think about.

Well, that was ugly
At least they didn't get blanked.
And I suppose the good news is that Majewski lowered his ERA to 14.54.
A doubleheader, and Andy Phillips did not play at all in either game. He must be injured. Either that, or he's being traded.
i'll ask bill tomorrow
