Post-game open thread, Reds lose 1-0
It's frustrating to get 14 runners on and not score, but it's just kinda the way it goes. It doesn't mean you need to work on situational hitting; you just need some better luck. Volquez's control wasn't spectacular, yet he still didn't allow a run in five innings. All in all, not a whole lot to be upset about -- although Weathers is making his case for Most Regressed Player.
Here's a story about Tampa Bay reliever Al Reyes, who was arrested last night and said "I tried to have a good time on my birthday." It made me think... What are the oddest arrests we've had? Start with this, then go from there.

Freel in Tampa
Between the arrest stories and online "dating" profiles, I can't help but think of "unemployed Ryan Freel in Ybor City:

Alas, poor Shack
The Dodgers released him. Apparently, they didn't even want him for their Triple-A team.
What a game. Maybe the Pirates aren't going to suck as much as most people think.
Nah...
So funny story
but unreleated...
I am currently at ONU's nature center, were we do archeological digs for my "Field School in Arcehology Class". Well I convinced the prof to take us to Pittsburgh to see the Reds game. Today we aren't even gong to touch a shovel, we are going to go to the Carnegie Science Center and then to the game. The best part he is pyaing for it all. But he gets something out of it, Ian Snell is on his fantasy team.
PS-this is a 4 credit hour class.
The Dusty Path to the World Series!*
*Note this is not an endorsment of Dusty Baker.
I got Snell also
But I'm not sure if I'll start him. The Reds can't be this unlucky forever.
I can see them exploding for a dozen tonight
