Doug Davis Undergoes Cancer Surgery
Guess that Arizona pitcher Doug Davis has gone under the knife and is hopefully doing well as his thyroid surgery was scheduled for today. Last year Davis went 13-12 with a 4.25 ERA in his first year with Arizona. I think it'd be a good idea to go ahead and give our best wishes to AZ Snakepit:
Best wishes.
Hopefully he'll get better and will be back on the mound soon... And while we're on the subject of a left-handed pitcher for the D-Backs... Man do I miss Coutlangus...

On behalf of the Snakepit and Dbacks fans everywhere,
thanks a lot for posting this and letting the Cincy fans know about it. We really appreciate the kind wishes, and Double D will appreciate them even more.
"I was tied to a chair and he had a baseball bat. Pissing him off was the smart thing to do."
Best wishes to him
I'm not a doctor, and don't even play one on TV, but from what I understand, the most common forms of thyroid cancer are highly curable. His chances for a full recovery should be very good.
I think it comes up whenever you add a player's name under "Related Read"
SBN then links to all of the current stories that feature that player. It only shows up when you are inside an article.
As for Davis, I've heard that thyroid cancer surgery can be pretty painful because of where they have to cut you up. And I'm sure having your neck all cut up won't be good for a pitcher, though I'm guessing pitching isn't priority #1 right now. Good luck to Davis. Hopefully this the worst of the treatment that he'll need.
WHY SHOULD I CHANGE IT? HE'S THE ONE WHO SUCKS!
