I have to think the Cubs are the team to beat again. The Cubs' problem is they can't win a game in the playoffs. They made it to the NLDS two years in a row and couldn't win a game either year. Great accomplishment! That has to be some type of a record.
I think the Cardinals are always dangerous but they don't have the pitching. The Astros seem to always fall too far behind in the first half and it is difficult to come from that far back. The Pirates...enough said...this isn't '1979. When will they ever be competitive again? The Reds have some nice young hitters but have lots of gaps in the rotation and pen. The Brewers had their shot but without Sheets or Sabathia they are starting Triple A guys and will need someone to have a miracle year. It looks like the Cubs have the inside track. Can they go winless in the playoffs for a third straight year?
