Bereavement Pool: The Final Update

Str8cashhomey_medium

Many buckets have been kicked since the last update, boosting Brian B's wife into the lead and boobs' roommate potentially onto the podium. Harold Pinter (Red Menace, Man Mountain and Alan) and  "Deep Throat" (Red Menace, boobs' roommate) met their demises, as did Sammy Baugh (boobs' roommate), Old Edna Parker (Alan) and Studs Terkel (Mrs. B). Everyone but Brian B and my mom have hit something.

I'm curious who all will want to play again next year. I'm definitely open to running the thing again. It shouldn't be too much work to roll the thing over, although there's probably not enough time to start by Jan. 1. Maybe if we do another, we'll run it from Feb. 1-Dec. 31. Anyone interested?

Remember, the contest runs though 11:59 p.m. on December 31, so we've got about a week to go. Good luck to those in the hunt!

Here are the updated rankings. Let me know if I've fucked something up:

1. Brian B's wife: 197 points (Charlton Heston, Robert Mondavi, Bo Diddley, Studs Terkel)
2. boobs: 185 points (Bobby Murcer, Tony Snow)
3. boobs' roommate: 166 points (Charlton Heston, Jesse Helms, Sammy Baugh, W. Mark Felt)
4. Red Menace: 164 points (Charlton Heston, Bo Diddley, Harold Pinter, W. Mark Felt)
5. ctnyc:  136 points (Harvey Korman, Paul Newman)
6. Alan: 128 points (Bo Diddley, Edna Parker, Harold Pinter)
7. 3 fast: 66 points (Estelle Getty)
8. Madville: 61 points (Bob Howsam)
9. Man Mountain: 47 points (Harold Pinter)
10. BLee: 41 points (Charlton Heston)
10. JD: 41 points (Charlton Heston)
10. JD's wife: 41 points (Charlton Heston)
13: Gray: 39 points (Jesse Helms)

The Bereavement Poll is one of the most uplifting features of RR.

Of course I’ll be back, barring my own death,,,I’ll be 60 in January…
One of my greatest hopes is that the Death Pool becomes a yearly staple at RR, at least until Mart T. Moore kicks it,

Anyone taking Slyde?

I mean he IS going to FL to play ball for a week….most likely against well-heeled alpha males who are looking to relive their youth. Or, more likely, someone else’s! There will be a lot of pent up aggression, extreme physical exertion and most likely binge drinking!!!

Will the Reds cheerleaders be there? : )

No

but middle aged women who always wanted to be Reds cheerleaders will be there.

i hope he doesn’t push me over the top.

I’d hate for there to be anyone who would think fall play was involved.
