Saturday CFB thread?
not sure if anyone else wanted to talk about it, but I know I sure do. So is Penn State for real?
Other things going on: His Tebowness is playing at Arkansas, and the smoking, heaping, remains of West Virginia play Rutgers, leading my favorite "type" from here at UMaryland (West Maryland hicks) versus my least fave (Dirty Jerseys).
Evan Royster looks damned fast though. He just hasn't hurdled anyone yet.
Is this 75 words yet?

Hurdling is the new stiff arm
And how close does UK play ‘Bama? I think their defense makes it somewhat close and ’Bama is overrated IMHO. That said I’m going with ‘Bama by 7 since they’re at home.
Not sure about Penn St., they’re rolling right now.

Bama MIGHT be overrated as the 2nd best team in the country
but their D-line should fuck Kentucky sideways. UK just can’t be up to speed yet with their cake schedule thus far.
But Saban coached teams have some history of dropping gimme games at home after a big win. One to watch.
Meanwhile, I’m stuck with the usual ACC shitfest on Raycom.

Also, after this season the SEC has signed a big deal with ESPN, so there is no more Raycom sports for us!

that's too bad, really
As someone who doesn’t have cable, I like Raycom and the 3 daves. The ACC Raycom is less interesting to me, but it’s better than nothing.

i realize raycom is shitty
though, I actually think dave archer is okay as a color guy.
There isn’t enough I want to watch on tv to justify paying for cable.

Good to see the Bucks beat the cheese weasels.
My Herd, however, laid an egg on national TV Thursday against UC.

Wisconsin band suspended
due to charges of alcoholism, hazing and sexual misconduct.
So, essentially, the Wisco administration discovered the band was comprised of undergraduates.

I went to a bar to watch the game
Before it started and they showed the first shots of the Badger players, I yelled out, “Your band gets laid more than you do!” High fives were in shockingly short supply after that.
Also, I’m really glad Ohio State got Terrelle Pryor instead of Michigan.

well I thought this was hilarious...
and in slightly less hilarious news, apparently Sarah Palin broke out the T-bomb against Obama. Because when “The American Heartland” thinks “Brown guy with weird name” and “Terrorism”, we think of 1960’s counterculture, not the current asshattery.
I seriously hoped that I lived in a country where presidential candidates aren’t accused of terrorist ties. Oh well, no other country on earth has Terrelle Pryor in the last 5 minutes.

Sarah Palin seems to think that the Black Panthers are still a vital political force
Or maybe she’s just afraid of Brown skinned boys…When I was in Alaska a year ago, I don’t think we saw more than 6 or 8 African Americans.

traderumors says:
<a href=“http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2008/10/delmon-young-av.html” Da Meat Hook’s brother</a may be available. the Twins need a 3B, and we have EdE. now, i love EdE and i want him around here for a while, but this could be a good match. Young is an athletic, right-handed LF who the Twins are kinda disappointed with, and he’s only 23. EdE may not be enough to make the deal work, but perhaps its a start. whuddaya think?

Young certainly has an upside..and he's young (har)
BUT he doesn’t hit for power (yet anyways) and he didn’t drive in all that may RBIS. My instincts (which are notoriously faulty) tell me that EdE and Cueto are the two players that Wlat might package along with a prospect for a more season RH bat with power – a la Holliday.
