For the second straight series the Rays find themselves down 1-0 at home.  I don't imagine that they're too nervous about it at this point.  I'm sure they feel much better now that they don't have to face Cole Hamels.  For those of us hoping this series goes to 6 or 7 games, I would say this game tonight for the Rays is big.  Losing two at home, when they have such a good record at home, could be hard for them to overcome in a short 7-game series.

I'm still not picking a winner at this point, mainly because I don't see the mystical powers that lie behind championships.  However, I will say that if Cole Hamels pitches two more times like he did last night, the Phillies are tough to beat.

Possibly the most intuitive and brilliant two word post ever (no this is not sarcasm).

I like the Rays' chances tonight

Myers hasn’t looked too sharp lately, esp. his curve. But when did James Shields become “Big Game” James?

Isn't it kind of weird

that after today, the last four televised baseball games in all of America will have taken place at Tropicana Field? I say it is.

Not that they are a horrible band, but it seems they could come up with something else.
