I had hoped to do something more interesting here and explain who will win and why, but I feel like I have been in meetings all day today - and not the fun meetings where I can goof off, but the kind where I get called on to talk, so I have to pay attention.  So, all I'll do is give you my worthless predictions:

Brewers in 5 games.
Cubs in 3 games.
Red Sox in 4 games.
White Sox in 4 games.

NOTE: no science was harmed during the making of these predictions.

i wish they'd replace the dugout camera with a wide view of the field.

i have NO idea what happens to the ball after the batter makes contact.

I swear I’d watch that instead of listening to Tim McCarver.

This reminds me of when the TV crews went on strike in Canadia...

The managers were able to cover cameras, but didn’t do commentary for the Canadian Football League games, and they got better ratings, though the CFL bitched about it.

But I’d definitely prefer not to hear most announcers.

I think we overmeet as a society.

i watched baseball on ESPN Deportes when i was in Cuba

and i had a tough time following it, because the whole screen can’t be on TV, so there is something going on that you can’t see.

with a 2-run double that Cameron just couldn’t reach. The Weeks error looms large.

The road grey uniforms of the Dodgers are very confusing

especially when they wear the blue long-sleeve shirt underneath and the red numbers.

WS

Im shooting for a Cubs/Red Sox WS, i think that would be very interesting. I dont care much for the CA teams. The Rays and Brewers are interesting underdogs….but at the end of the day Im looking for a clash of the titans.

Plus i’ll be in BOS in 10 days, with a REDS hat!

are you serious?

can you people actually be rooting for the Dodgers?

Remember ye not Steve Garvey? Ron Cey? Fat Tommy? Kirk Freakin’ Gibson? Pedro Guerrero?

Back in the days when we only had two divisions, every Reds fan knew that the Dodgers are the source of all that is vile and rank in the universe.

I never trusted Kal Daniels.

you all are wondering

why Dusty is, well, Dusty.

It’s very simple. He’s a Dodger. Once a Dodger, always a Dodger.

Some people (like Jeff Kent) were Dodgers even before they were Dodgers.

Sorry folks. Give me the Cubs in this one.

I'm not rooting for the Dodgers, as I can't stand them.

However, I hate the Cubs even more.

I'm rooting for the Dodgers in this series

For the same reason I’m voting for Obama – lesser of two evils. At least if the Dodgers win I don’t have to hear about it from 4,000 drunken louts six times next year.

Greg Maddux in a relief appearance?

This is the second time in the last 20 years that he’s come in as a reliever, and the first time in the last 10. And he seals the win, awesome.

playoff thoughts of the day

watching the Cubs lose is almost worth watching the Cubs. almost.

im really surprised at how much TBS has stepped up their production of the playoffs this year. ive watched a few hours of baseball on their network today and i have not seen Dane Cook once. kudos, Mr. Ted Turner.

Chone Figgins has been a baseball player for a few years now, and today is the first time i realized his name is “Chone Figgins” and that he is black. i always thought it was “Sean Finnigans” and he was Irish.
