Dreaming 'bout Jay Bruce...

don't want to bump the rumors re: Bedard, but young Mr. Bruce made an appearance in my dream last night. I know nothing about him personally (height, weight, eye color, personality), but nonetheless, there he was.

I was playing backyard baseball with my old high school team at my parents' house. I was wandering around in the "outfield" and saw a dry-erase board with a list of names of players who had hit homeruns on the day. I don't remember who was listed first, but I was second, and below my name was "Jay Bruce." I turned around and there he was, standing in the outfield with me. I introduced myself and told him I was expecting a few more from him in Cincy, just before waking up.

So, does this qualify as some sort of irrational attachment to the youngster on my part?

dreams are weird

one would think when a person remembers five or six dreams a night and loves baseball, baseball would be in the dreams more often. but no, i rarely dream of baseball. would be nice, especially in these long winter nights. guess it would help if I could actually sleep.

Not sure why I chose this as my first post ever

but I'd just like to say, I have dreams like this all the time. Not necessarily about Jay Bruce, but about famous people whom I know little about their looks or what they sound like when they talk. Like, say after learning about Charlemagne one day in history class, I'd have a dream that I ran into him at a restaurant.

Basically, I'm just saying, I completely understand where you're coming from. And here's to hoping I dream about Jay Bruce tonight.
