Blood Pool

Okay, here it is.  No write-in candidates.  Your choices are limited.  And as they say, One-line diaries are prohibited on Red Reporter. Give your diary a bit more thought, then give it another shot. If you have nothing to add to your proposed diary, then it probably belongs as a comment under another appropriate thread.

Conduct yourselves accordingly.

Poll
Who do you want to manage the Reds for the next four seasons? Boobs would be an option, except that both of these guys are boobs already:

Althought there are only 2 options offered
I, once again, call for street demonstrations, billboard ads and a 500,000 strong letter campaign from the RR faithful for Red Menace as GM/Field Manager. You want a winning team then you need a tough, young and intelligent manager with people skills = Menace and Man Mountain - the triple M threat.(And if he's not killed first, Zach as assist. bench coach/3rd base coach).

Pete is a little too old and he's not as smart as Menace, although Pete has a good sense of humor and I like him.

LaLoser has absolutely no business being allowed to fuck up the good start we've got going. His whole approach is the antithesis of a confidence building program which is exactly what the Reds need with so many youngsters...not to mention that he is such a dick.

It will be good to have Zach around to scapegoat
So a new GM takes over for a team. He finds that the outgoing GM has left him three envelopes in his office with instructions to open one every time his seat becomes too hot.

Before long the honeymoon period wears off and the fans become antsy. So he opens the first envelope and it says "Blame everything on your predecessor for hamstringing you with bad contracts and neglecting the farm system." He does this and everyone is satisfied.

But the team continues to flounder and eventually the heat returns. So he opens the second envelope. "Blame injuries and players who have underperformed. That will buy you some time." He does this and the fans and media back off.

When team continues to flounder he fears his job is in jeopardy. So he opens the third envelope. Inside it reads, "Prepare three envelopes."

Off topic
I'm not endorsing him to continue managing the Reds, but I do like that Mackanin seems to be a pretty clever dude as far as baseball players/managers go. His postgame quotes are full of wordplay and puns. I'm just saying.

If Macarina returns indeed
ability to speak reasonably well and his sense of humor and even irony at times is very refreshing. He certainly would be a better choice than Laloser if for no other reason.

irish is only ethnic
on st. pattys day.  the irish had successfully integrated into mainstream america by the middle of the 20th century.  the kennedy's saw to that.  so reagan's administration doesnt count as "ethnic".

I've been watching football on Saturdays
The Irish have been getting beaten worse and more regularly than at any point since the 1850's.  Don't kid yourself Charlie.  Those potato-eating papists are the brogue-speaking blight on our society.  Believe me, they're shifty, lazy, and no good at all, or my name isn't "Brendan."
