Red Reporter on Fox 19 WXIX

Go to this Fox 19 page, check out featured videos and watch "Fans React To Narron Firing".

I'd directly link to it but that seems to be impossible. If anyone has a solution leave it in the comments and I'll change the link. Fox19 really oughta make it easier to share their content, but that's neither here nor there.

Congrats to tonywf who gets quoted towards the end!

Definitely the best one featured I thought.

unbelievable
My God, I can't believe they used my comment on Bronson.  Poor guy.  Well, he did pitch better in his last start, and you can't blame him for the bullpen.  Here's to hoping our offense averages about 7 runs a game for the rest of the season.

Try this as a direct link....
Here.

Congrats, Tony.

This reminds me
of the time that we were interviewed on New Year's Eve buying liquor at the Party Source. We were two sheets to the wind, and ended up inviting the reporter (mighty attractive) to go drinking with us, etc.

by bobestes on Jul 4, 2007 8:05 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I've almost been interviewed a few times
But I politely declined the request by saying I work in the media industry. I revel in my anonymity, and am deathly afraid of looking like a jackass on TV. :)

And you never finished that story. Did the reporter come with you, or not?

Yeah
Did he agree?

I'm visiting from St. Loo........
Can someone please tell me how much truth there is to the rumors that Tony LaRussa/Walt Jocketty are coming to your town to run your team next year?  All I can say, please take them off of our hands--they have been behaving like they are mentally unstable this year.  Walt has basically been hiding from the press, and Tony hasn't smiled for about oh, 11 years or so.  Anything that you all know would be appreciated.....

I'd say none
TLR, will end up out west would be my guess.

If Lajockety joined the Reds, I'd seriously have..
to reconsider being a Reds fan... I've had to put up with those two enough as it is... and jillsinmo... never, ever listen to anything that Hrabosky says... he may be the worst announcer ever...

No, you just don't get Lajocketty....
you get LaDuncetty.  Hide your best young arms far, far, away before he turns them into soft tossing sinker ball pitch to contact strikeouts are bad you must abandon your high hard one, and if you can't, I'm gonna make your life miserable and do everything I can to make sure you fail.  Look at one of your former star pitchers, Jose Rijo.  Then look at his record in Oakland.  Then look at our own top prospect, Anthony Reyes.  There are reasons he has pitched so badly, and I'm gonna tell you LaDunc is at the center of it. So please take them before they can get to our next crop of AAA pitchers.  Please.....Pretty please.....

Yeah, those guys are terrible
I hate it when my team wins the World Series.  It makes me want to fire everybody too.
I don't know why chandrathan is so mad at me. That guy is cuh-razy.

haha
Idk LaRussa to me is like Jim Tressel going to Michigan to coach....He has been an enemy to the reds since his days at oakland and to see him on our side...it just doesn't seem right
"Yeah, well the Reds were first in spring training this year"-My friend after a Red Sox fan said the Reds suck.

I don't care
if they put Hitler on the bench to coach, if he will bring a championship to Cincinnati and put a perennial division winner on the field, then why wouldn't you want him on the bench?

By that logic, you're telling me you'd rather see Boone/Narron/Miley/Mackanin for another 7 losing years than winning with TLR?

I don't think that's a good idea
He's never managed. And as much as he liked to bunt, Tony Womack would probably have his team waste a lot of outs.

by Red Menace on Jul 5, 2007 10:33 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

True...
I wouldn't want them going with someone with history in the organization anyways, so Hitler's out.  Is Stalin available?

How about Francisco Franco?

Musollini maybe?
How was the concert last night, Slyde? I was actually there for the end, and to watch the fwx.

by jch24 on Jul 5, 2007 11:13 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Did not go to the concert
We were in Shelbyville, IN yesterday with the in laws.  We drove home just in time to see a variety of fireworks shows along the Ronald Regan Hwy.  It's amazing the number of fireworks shows that are going on at the same time, and surprisingly the highway gives you a pretty good view of several of them.

by Slyde on Jul 5, 2007 11:56 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah
We were laughing at the inordinate number of cars pulled over just to watch the shows. :)

That's everybody's retort and oh, yeah it was
exciting and wonderful and it was a great piece of managing, but they have done things that will leave this team in shambles for years to come.  Kind of like what you all are coping with now. Please, Reds take him....

Y'know...
Kudos to tonywf for getting mentioned, although the quote was probably a bit less representative of what we really thought of Narron.

I would have probably gone with this:

http://www.redreporter.com/comments/2007/7/1/22437/56044/2#2

Or this:

http://www.redreporter.com/comments/2007/7/1/22437/56044/6#6

Or this (from tonywf himself):

http://www.redreporter.com/comments/2007/7/1/22437/56044/12#12

Or this:

http://www.redreporter.com/comments/2007/7/1/22437/56044/21#21

Or (best of all) this:

http://www.redreporter.com/story/2007/7/2/122542/2515

Count your blessings, though, I always say, because it's a good thing Channel 19 didn't take a look at last night's game thread instead.

Please don't trade Adam Dunn.

I see boobs has popped up
on the blog log...

I hope this means we're getting a game thread soon.
