Hamilton out for two more weeks

From an article on the official site:

A specialist on Monday confirmed the news the Reds already knew about center fielder Josh Hamilton -- his right wrist was sprained.

Yet there was a new and discouraging twist. Hamilton, who was eligible to come off the 15-day disabled list July 23, will be out for at least another 10 days to two weeks. His wrist was placed in a soft cast.

"It's got to be immobilized," Reds general manager Wayne Krivsky said of Hamilton's wrist. "There's still inflammation in the wrist and tendons. We're just going by what the doctor says."

Dr. Andrew Markiewitz examined Hamilton and had an MRI test performed in Cincinnati. Hamilton will visit Markiewitz again in 10 days.
