Serious Issue, seriously (the original beer related diary, settle for nothing less)
What, pray tell, do you see as the best beer to drink at a ballpark?
I think the Yuengling has a serious potential to go well with a dog or pirogi. Mmm, Yuengling. Maybe the best beer ever? Yes, much better than Southpaw, for sure. But perhaps a little too full bodied for the really hot weeks of the year.
Solution, I am beginning to fall in love all over again with Mich Light. They've reformulated back to the old "all malt" recipe along with the retro bottle. It's got that deep, rich taste again which would go down smooth but not be to heavy for those late July games under the sun. Nothing worse than sweating out a loaf of bread over the course of the last 5 innings.
So there you have it. In my perfect world, a park has a 1-2 punch of Yuengling for the cold months, and Mich LT. for the hot months.

Yeah
I actually don't drink much either. Ever since the breathalyzer broke on the utility belt, I just haven't been willing to risk it.

But it seems like they don't sell it at the GABP do they?

Mickey Lo?
Honestly, this is an unoriginal answer, but Budweiser is the most consistently produced alcoholic beverage on the face of the earth. That's not my opinion; that's the aggregate opinion of a group of sommeliers and brewmasters that was published a few years ago. (Article in Restaurant Today) So, Bud is a safe bet and basically available at every park.
My local AAA team serves PBR and High Life (Yuengling too), both of which you can take deep into game and have enough of a hipster edge to make them cool. I usually try the local stuff at parks; nothing stands out beside the divine and now defunct Dixie Beer they used to serve at Zephyr games in NO.
I'd drink a Guinness at an October game if I knew what that was like. It's far and away less filling than any other stout porter with a much smoother finish.
Is Hudepohl still running around in Cinncinati? My dad never shuts up about that stuff. "Get Moody with Hudey!" Weidermann? I once bought 48 cans of that stuff for a tailgate in Baton Rouge for $10. Good times, then bad times.

Bud, blech
They just started making Huddy again, ask obc about it. I've never had it but want to try it. Maybe GABP catches the fever.
What's the deal with PBR becoming "in" again. Are they going to bring back Kroger Cost-Cutter beer too?

I read
Also it has the "Union Made" label placed prominently. The hipsters like the unions.

It's not in these parts yet...
It's brewed by Anheiser, and called Land Shark Lager...
It's got a really cool bottle, and I guess I'll get to try it this summer at the concert!

I bring my own to the ballpark
Only three bottles fit in the bag, though, and even that is tough, so if I want anything after that, I'll either buy Sam from the one place in RFK you can get it or I'll drink whatever nasty mainstream domestic "beer" the beer guy is selling. I prefer Miller Lite over the others because it doesn't have that nasty impurity aftertaste that you kids are so fond of. ;)

Best drink at a ball park

Depends....
Bud Select in the new aluminum bottles stays cold longer in the summertime. I'm a cold beer guy. Mich Lt works for me also, I sure hope they produce some aluminum bottles with the new retro style.
Corona is fabulous at a Buffett concert outdoors. Cant commit to trying it at a ballpark, doesnt seem right. Plus, the Bobkitten is boycotting this product since a certain Million March a while back.
Bobkitten votes for Rolling Rock. It's an honest, hardworking ale....but it has that distinct taste that sticks in the roof of your mouth. Especially on a warm summer night.
The snob in me would argue that Stella Artois would do well at a ballpark, but I've never had one there. And I really dont know how to pronounce the damn thing correctly.
Probably the best import, IMO, at a ballpark would be Labatt. Tasted great in MI, and the night of Courtney. I recommend it.

It's easy to pronounce...
It is an excellent beer though...

The problem with high-end beers
Sam Adams Boston Lager is pretty consistent. I'm less pleased with their seasonal junk.

The Brickskeller is where I first experienced the finest beers known to man (Dogfish Head). I am enjoying a Raison D'etre right now, in fact. At last count, I owe a Dogfish Head to Daedalus, Ash (2), and Slyde.
