MLB.com has an article about potential Cy Young candidates. I clicked on hoping to find Harang listed. Of course, he is not. But Arroyo is:
5. Bronson Arroyo, Cincinnati. Arroyo will have to overcome pitching in a hitter's ballpark for a team not expected to reach the playoffs. He's also backed up by relievers against whom opposing batters hit .285 last year, the highest average against any NL bullpen in 2006. The rest of Arroyo's scenario is compelling. He led the league in innings, won 14 games -- just two fewer than 2006 Cy Young Award winner Brandon Webb -- and the right-hander's 3.29 ERA was comparable to Webb's 3.10. Arroyo will need some breaks, but he has the stuff to pitch his way into Cy Young contention.
Hey, at least the Reds are getting some attention!
