I came across this today while I was supposed to be doing work (don't tell). Jared Fernandez signed a $200,000 one-year contract for the Hiroshima Carp (who coincidently use the red fishbone-C). I hope Jared's lights out in Japan (are there other knucklers in Japan?). Jared's a good guy and I really love knuckleball pitchers. I was really was pulling for Jared while he was in our system and after he left. Jared had some good years in AAA and made a AAA All-Star team. Still he struggled mightily when he was at "the show" (and especially when he was being caught by Larue!). Any thoughts on the current state of the Knuckleball? Will we ever see a resurgence or is it becoming totally obsolete?
