USA Today has put out a list of 100 names you need to know.
"These are the next wave of players coming into the majors who, in our view, could make the biggest impact during the 2007 season.
These aren't necessarily baseball's 100 best prospects. Many top prospects are too far down in the minor leagues to contribute in the majors this season. Others are stuck behind established major leaguers."
The only Red on the list is Votto at number 97. Seems USA Today does not think Homer will make an impact in 2007.
Isn't the consensus that we'll see Homer before the season is over? I would think we'd see him before Votto.
Then again, USA Today isn't exactly a shining bulb on the American newspaper tree. I think it ranks right above tabloid in terms of quality.
Hat tip goes to Basil at Federal Baseball.
