Nothing earth-shattering here, but it's a good read. I had not heard his sad story in such detail. Makes me wanna pull for him a little more.

Very good read

Perhaps he should call up and speak to Chris Henry and Odell Thurman about not throwing away a great opportunity.

And why not? Talk about your minimal risk opportunity. It's not even at that level. I'd be stunned if he made the opening day roster, but if he does we'll have already made a killing in what we had to spend. If not, not much of a payout.
Just hope he realizes the opportunity he has. I'm very hopeful he does.

Hard times

It's not easy to bounce back from such depths, but I got a gut feeling about Hamilton.

Not to get too secular, but I gotta root for a guy who rents a swimming pool in Carolina for his offseason baptism.

I'm pulling for him

I hope if he flails away at the low, outside sliders that people in Cincy will have a little more patience with him than they had with Wily Mo. Let's hope his future upside outshines the past downside and that the talent shines through with the Reds!

Yes!

Ditto on the Wily Mo reference. It doesn't help when your manager, whose initials are the same as mine, keeps telling everyone that you suck, are lazy, and are killing the team. And then he sends you to the plate in crucial pinch hitting situations against the best closers so you are sure to fail.
